## Summary

The Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) is Africa's annual championship for secondary-school mathematicians. National delegations compete in a rotating host country over two 4½-hour papers. Each paper contains three proof-based problems, each marked out of seven, for a maximum score of 42. PAMO began under the African Mathematical Union in 1986 and has been held from 1987 onwards. PAMO-G recognises the leading female contestants using the same papers and marking scheme.
