## Summary

The Canadian Computing Competition Senior paper is run by the University of Waterloo CEMC. It is an online contest of five questions in three hours (75 marks), available in English and French. Roughly the top 20 official Senior participants from Canadian schools are invited to the Canadian Computing Olympiad, which selects Canada’s IOI teams. Junior versus Senior is about skill, not grade.

## Context

Waterloo CEMC’s senior programming contest — the usual route towards CCO and IOI.

## Guidance

### Parent advice

CCC Senior is the school programming contest that feeds CCO. IOI team selection happens at CCO, not on this paper alone.

### Student advice

Choose Senior if you already write contest code comfortably. Only official Senior results from Canadian schools are used for CCO invitations.

### Teacher advice

2027 dates 17 February in the Americas, 18 February elsewhere. Order by 11 February. CAD $10 per participant plus CAD $5 per order. Languages include C, C++, Python and Java. Screen recordings are strongly recommended for students aiming at CCO.

## How to prepare

- Work through past CCC Senior problems
- Practise submitting code under a three-hour limit
