## Summary

The Canadian Intermediate Mathematics Contest (CIMC) is a University of Waterloo CEMC paper for grades 9–10: nine questions in two hours, 60 marks. Six questions ask for an answer only; three require a full written solution. It is not a CMS olympiad qualifier.

### Parent advice

CIMC is a Waterloo school contest. Canadian olympiad selection is through CMS’s COMC, not CIMC.

### Student advice

Practise both short answers and full solutions. The last three questions are marked for method as well as the answer.
