## Summary

The Fermat Contest is the University of Waterloo CEMC grade 11 paper: 25 questions, 60 minutes, 150 marks. Parts A and B are multiple choice; Part C asks for an integer from 0 to 99. A student may write only one of Pascal, Cayley or Fermat in a school year. It is not a CMO qualifier.

### Parent advice

Fermat is a school contest. For Canadian olympiad selection, the relevant open paper is CMS’s COMC.

### Student advice

You cannot sit Cayley and Fermat in the same school year. Younger students may write Fermat if they choose the higher paper.
