## Summary

The Malvern College Summer School takes place on Malvern College's historic campus in the idyllic Malvern Hills. Students aged 9 to 16 spend their summer here in a community that combines learning, adventure and friendship.
Activities: At MCSS your child takes control of their learning adventure. Each week, they choose two exciting modules: one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and each equates to fifteen hours of learning. English is optional
They can try something completely new each week or focus their attention on specific subjects and progress, guided by passionate Malvern College teachers and carefully selected specialists who bring expertise and energy to every lesson.
• Performing Arts: From the first cautious steps onto the stage to the big final performance. Participants work with professional theatre, dance and music coaches and develop self-confidence, expressiveness and team spirit.
• Outdoor Pursuits: Adventure in the Malvern Hills - with climbing, kayaking, mountain biking or hiking. The aim is to promote courage, cooperation and personal strength - always accompanied by experienced outdoor specialists.
• STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics): Exciting experiments and projects in robotics, space travel, mechanics, wind turbine construction or coding.
• Sports : including football, tennis, badminton, basketball, touch rugby or hockey.
• Creative Arts : Ceramics, woodwork, screen printing or nature photography - works of art are created here that promote creativity and self-confidence in equal measure.
• English as an Additional Language ( EAL): Project-oriented English lessons for every language level - from beginner to advanced. Through interviews, group work or creative presentations, students learn to use language actively and confidently.
Trips and Excursions:Weekend trips take students to vibrant cities including Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff. The London trip offers the opportunity to see world-famous landmarks and explore one of the world's greatest cities. Midweek evenings bring ice skating, laser tag, or bowling.
Pastoral Care: your child is well cared for every moment of their stay. From the instant they arrive to departure day, our team ensures they are safe, supported, and genuinely happy.
Life in the boarding houses is led by our experienced Houseparents, supported by tutors and staff who live alongside the students, and know exactly how to support, encourage, and reassure each and every child.
Accommodation: Your child will live in one of our charming traditional boarding houses, each buzzing with a strong sense of community and care. There is a range of comfortable single, twin, or cosy dormitory rooms, with inviting shared common rooms where students relax, build friendships, and feel truly at home
