## Guidance

### Parent advice

AMC 10 B is a second sitting at the same level as AMC 10 A — not a harder paper. Each attempt is scored independently; qualifying on either is enough for AIME.

### Student advice

On AMC 10 B day, AMC 12 B runs at the same time — you must choose one level. Sitting both AMC 10 A and AMC 10 B in one season is allowed.

### Teacher advice

B papers are not harder than A — just different questions with separate score distributions. Ensure students know which sitting they are taking on each date.

## How to prepare

- Work through past AMC 10 B papers specifically
- If you sat AMC 10 A, review mistakes before attempting B
- Practise under strict 75-minute timed conditions
