## Summary

The Team Maths Challenge (TMC) promotes mathematical dexterity, teamwork and communication skills. Teams of four pupils compete in regional finals at host schools across the UK, with high-scoring teams invited to the National Final in June.

The challenge is for pupils in Year 8 and Year 9 (England and Wales), Year 9 and Year 10 (Northern Ireland), or S1, S2 and S3 (Scotland). Each team may include a maximum of two pupils from the older year group.

Regional Finals consist of starter questions and four scored rounds: The Group, The Crossnumber, The Shuttle and The Relay. Past papers are available for practice or for schools wishing to run an internal TMC.
